Three years of the COVID-19 pandemic has left many workers feeling exhausted and battle-scarred. First there were the lockdowns, the job cuts, and the general fear that pervaded many communities until vaccines became widely available. 

While mortality rates have dropped significantly and life has largely returned to normal, other headwinds are just around the corner. Rising inflation and stagnant wages, the recent slew of job cuts in the tech industry, and the looming recession have all left workers feeling anxious and burned out.

Despite the economic uncertainties, many workers are reevaluating their current jobs and are quitting for a variety of reasons. Known as the Great Resignation, workers in different industries have been resigning en masse since the beginning of 2021—and there are no signs that this trend is going to slow down this year.
