Founded by Harvard MBA and serial tech-entrepreneur Paul Henrik Østergaard and co-founder Ida Marie Iuel in Singapore in 2016, MySigrid is the world’s only end-to-end solution for SMEs looking to hire fractional remote talent for long-term project collaboration.
When we embarked on this project, our vision was to create a future where everyone in developing countries has access to meaningful work. This would enable them to work from home, remain in their communities, and care for their children and families, all within a hybrid work setting. We aimed to provide job security, competitive compensation, security of tenure, and top-notch benefits such as medical coverage (HMO) extended to their families.
We began hiring from the Philippines in 2017, a country known for its mass migration of workers. Families are often separated for years at a time, with mothers or fathers leaving the country or moving to another part of the country to provide for their loved ones.
Looking back today, we take immense pride in what we have achieved. Witnessing our vision come to fruition and seeing the smiles on the faces of our teammates as they talk about spending time with their families and children at home after their shift ends is the most gratifying experience.
While other platforms focus solely on matching companies with talent, MySigrid stands out as a distinctive end-to-end solution. We coach, train, and manage our team daily, providing them with technological resources that enable them to excel in a hybrid work setting—a departure from the well-known pitfalls of the freelancer gig economy.
